Summary:
Short Beach is tucked away on the Northern Oregon coast and is home to some unique, white agates. The agate that can be found here are a clear chalcedony with white banding throughout.
Some more photos are needed for this one. I would love to go back and time my visit with the tides a little better.
Waves can sneak up exceptionally fast here - be careful if you plan on being near the water.
Winter months have what’s known as the “King Tides” which bring in high waterlevels and big waves off the Pacific Ocean.
3 Helpful Tools
I only included waders only to help stay warm in the cold waters. I visited in early Winter. The ocean is unforgiving here and I didn’t go in past my feet.
Chest Waders
Agate Scoop
An agate scoop may be nice here, but I didn’t have one when I visited.
Classifier
A classifier is helpful if you’re a fan of small agates and stones.
