Summary:
This spot did not match the expectations I had based upon its name. Great Sand Bay was actually filled with rocks, and a good variety of them. The second stone I picked up here was a tiny Lake Superior Agate.
That was in late Summer, so I imagine this spot could have better finds based on what time of the year you visit.

3 Helpful Tools
Chest Waders
Chest waders are great to stay dry if you want to get in the lake.
Agate Scoop
An agate scoop is helpful to pick things up faster and farther away from you.
Classifier
A classifier is fun to sit with if you’re a fan of small agates and stones. One with a larger, 1-inch mesh would be what I’d pick.
A small Lake Superior Agate.
A fascinating piece of prehnite. The edges have really intricate layering.
This appeared to possibly be a Lake Superior Agate nodule.
A closeup of some brecciated material I found.
The mix of rocks - as seen underwater. It stretches for miles here.
